Frequently asked questions
Are generated passwords sent anywhere?
No. Passwords are created with your browser's crypto.getRandomValues() and never leave your device.
What makes a strong password?
Length plus unpredictability. 16+ characters mixing upper, lower, digits and symbols resists brute force; this tool defaults to 20 characters.
Should I use the memorable option?
Memorable passphrases (words joined with separators) are easier to type and still strong when long. Use random strings for vaults and passphrases where you must remember.
